Accounting Assistant

The position of Accounting Assistant will cover a broad range of responsibilities related to the accounting needs of GCommerce. This position will be responsible for assisting in monthly media billing and the reconciliations of those billables to the costs incurred by GCommerce.  The role will include applying payments to the client’s accounts and entries for deposits and bank fees to the respective client accounts. This position will also be responsible for updating and maintaining internal documents and communicating with the team, on a weekly basis, the invoices that are overdue.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Working with the accounting team members to complete monthly media billing within the timeframes that will be provided.
  • Entering various types of information onto client’s accounts.
  • Providing a weekly accounts receivable update to the team.
  • Become familiar with the services being provided by Gcommerce and their respective relation to invoicing.

 

Desired skills

  • 3 to 5 Years of accounting experience
  • Attention to detail 
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to solve practical problems 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks
  • A desire to learn new things
  • Previous work experience within the service industry at the customer level
