Sales Coordinator

The position of Sales Coordinator will cover a broad range of administrative responsibilities pursuant to the goal of supporting the business development team and sales activities to drive new business growth for GCommerce. 

The Sales Coordinator role will play an integral role in preparing sales presentations, proposals and agreements in coordination with the business development team. The position will also play a critical role in sales outreach efforts through sales prospecting email campaigns, prospect database management and reporting through GCommerce’s Hubspot Sales CRM platform. The Sales Coordinator will act as a central point for a well-organized business development team.  

The position will also work closely with GCommerce’s Chief Evangelist in the continued development of a proficient sales prospecting program through the development of standard operating procedures and workflow management, prospect database development and further development of the company’s Sales CRM platform, Hubspot.  

To be successful in this role, the Sales Coordinator should have previous experience working in a sales coordinator and sales support role, or be a sharp, quick learner who is willing to dedicate the time to develop the necessary skills for success. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with being highly organized will be critical in being effective in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development Team Support:

  • General administrative duties in support of the sales department and company
  • Keeping sales materials up-to-date and document/file management
  • Assembling sales prospect specific presentations at the direction and in support of individual business development team members 
  • Preparation of client proposals at the direction and in support of individual business development team members
  • Preparation of client agreements at the direction and in support of individual business development team members
  • Coordination support for sales events and conferences
  • Capture and filing of sales call meeting notes and prospect follow up communications
  • Sales department reporting development, management and distribution
  • Schedule coordination
  • Assist Account Services team with annual agreement renewal preparation

Sales Prospecting & Business Development Activities:

  • Attend essential sales training meetings and develop an understanding of all the company’s services and products
  • Participating member of the GCommerce sales team for sales strategy ideation and development, and in coordination with the GCommerce Brand Marketing Team
  • Coordination with the GC Brand Marketing Team’s content marketing efforts for use in sales prospecting email campaigns
  • Email sales prospecting campaign development and management
  • Ownership management of sales prospecting pipeline, keeping all opportunities up-to-date and documented tasks/activities against each opportunity
  • Coordination of 3rd party database acquisitions
  • Identification of target prospects and augmentation of prospect records within GCommerce’s Sales CRM platform in order to pursue targeted prospecting campaigns and communications

Hubspot Sales CRM Administration:

  • Continued development of Hubspot processes, administration and development to meet the needs of GCommerce and the sales team to become the Super Administrator for the Sales Team
  • Hubspot Sales CRM database management and prospect target list creation
  • Continued development of the Hubspot platform to utilize all aspects of the most viable sales CRM functionality for the purposes of sales prospecting, database development, reporting, automation of sales tasks, database filtering and targeting, email templates and other areas as deemed necessary by GCommerce’s Chief Evangelist
  • Management and ongoing development of email prospecting template library 
  • Development of Client and Company Properties within Hubspot to align with desired discovery content acquisition through the business development sales discovery process

  • Must have a solid working knowledge of basic computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, Power Point and have experience with CRM software (e.g. Hubspot) 
  • Proven work experience in either business development, account management, sales coordination, marketing, PR or similar roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to set and accomplish goals and objectives
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization or operational procedures exists
  • Well-organized and responsible time management with deadline ownership
  • A team player with the willingness to partner with different business units in a multitask/project environment 
  • Ability to travel
