Marketing Data Analyst

Job Summary

GCommerce is seeking a Marketing Data Analyst to join our team. We are a growing marketing agency and are looking for a talented person to develop into a key member of our organization.

The Marketing Data Analyst works cross-functionally with marketing specialists, search marketing specialists and account services to ensure satisfaction of client and agency reporting needs and related tasks. We are seeking someone with a keen understanding of statistics, media performance and data visualization. Digital advertising experience is critical, and the candidate should be comfortable working with multiple sources of marketing performance data.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple requests within given timelines
  • Utilize quality assurance methods to diagnose inaccurate data
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to translate analytics requests into action plans and deliverables
  • Design and deliver performance reports and dashboards within Google Data Studio
  • Partner with planning and insights teams to develop measurement plans
  • Implement and refine ETL best practices within the agency
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all team outputs
  • Develop processes to automate common reporting and analytics tasks
  • Troubleshoot technical issues involving data extraction, data quality, data visualization, event tracking, and data transformation.

Qualifications:

The Marketing Data Analyst should be proficient in marketing analytics from several sources, including Google Ads, Double-click Campaign Manager, Facebook, Google Analytics and other native marketing systems.  The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of end-to-end advertising campaign execution with an emphasis on reporting and measurement tools.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Data Studio or other BI tools
  • Hands-on experience with Super metrics or other ETL tools
  • Hands-on experience in Google Big Query or other cloud data warehouses
  • Analytics experience at a digital media agency
  • Natural tendency to identify and investigate inconsistencies in data
  • Excellent quantitative and critical thinking skills
  • Project management, leadership, and collaboration
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and its various platform integrations
  • Working knowledge of SQL and advanced spreadsheet capabilities
  • Familiarity with programmatic media buying tactics and platforms
  • Degree or 3-5 years’ experience in a quantitative field (engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics)
  • Experience building, maintaining and updating databases.
