Search Marketing | Search Marketing Specialist

GCommerce is looking for a Search Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for leading the strategy for and executing all search marketing initiatives for their assigned client hotels/resorts. Search Marketing initiatives the Specialist is responsible for includes but not limited to paid search marketing, search engine optimization, website CMS edits for SEO and management of 3rd party vendors. Must enjoy working in a team environment, problem-solving, and is required to stay on top of the latest industry trends.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Position is responsible for leading the search strategy with assigned clients and identifying how best to support client objectives and goals through search marketing initiatives
  • Position is responsible for performing website CMS edits as it relates to SEO
  • Position is responsible for understanding and utilizing Google Analytics to measure KPIs
  • Position is responsible for understanding and utilizing the Bid Optimization software for paid media campaign management
  • Position is responsible for communicating and managing 3rd party vendors related to their assigned client list
  • Complete keyword research and campaign buildout based on the business objectives of the client
  • Manage client budgets within Google Adwords, Bing AdCenter, and GCommerce’s 3rd party bid management software
  • Recommend and implement on-page SEO recommendations within website CMS
  • Follow on-page SEO best practices provided by GCommerce
  • Participate in internal client meetings, including client strategy meetings
  • This position requires full-time accounting within task management software and payroll time tracking software
  • Deployment and integration within Search Console (Webmaster Tools)
  • Claim and optimize Google and Bing Local Listings
  • Communication with 3rd party directory service to optimize local listings
  • This position requires internal communication with other team members, including Account Executives, Marketing Specialists, Managers and EC members

Preferences:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Previous digital marketing experience preferred but not required
  • Skilled using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Some experience in the hospitality and travel industries

Web Development | PHP Web Developer

This position requires both Front End and Back End experience. In this fast-paced role, the right candidate will be developing and maintaining highly functional, highly customized websites and web applications built on our proprietary framework. This position requires and in-depth understanding of WordPress; it’s core functions, network, plugins, template hierarchy, etc. Strong PHP skills are a must, in addition to an understanding of the full stack. While this position is Back End focused, the ideal candidate should be able to traverse and understand server side processes as well as client side.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, or related field, and/or 8+ years of professional web development experience with PHP, HTML/CSS/Javascript and MySQL.
  • A minimum 5 years of experience developing on the WordPress platform, and you should be current on the latest version capabilities and best practices.
  • The ideal candidate possesses strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven web development experience in a fast-paced/agency environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently, with varying timelines and priorities that shift based on the business needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of OOP principals and comfortable working within an MVC framework like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or CakePHP.
  • You demonstrate a proactive and “can-do” demeanor.
  • You have a passion for continuous improvement and you keep up to date on modern development trends and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Git version control system.
  • Comfortable with the command line, including but not limited to troubleshooting server errors, basic Apache configurations, and LAMP administration.
  • Recent and in-depth experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs, both production, and consumption.
  • Exposure to Adobe’s suite of products, enough to use PSDs as a guideline for development.
  • Experience building responsive websites.
  • You are a team player that can lend ideas to a project and be vocal about potential pitfalls on a project.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop project specific solutions/functionality for storing and retrieving data within WordPress (i.e., post types, meta fields, theme options, etc.)
  • Develop efficient, well structured, tested and bug-free code
  • Maintain enterprise level WordPress client sites
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues/bugs efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with other team members
  • Ability to scope accurately and support a fast-moving business development team
  • Provide help, support, and training to other development team members

Web Development | Project Manager

The Web Project Manager at GCommerce is responsible for the overall successful planning, tracking, communication and measurement of profitability of client projects. The Web Project Manager is responsible for working with all internal and external resource teams to complete client projects within projected labor hours and costs. Communication and organization are critical to this position.

Core Project Management Skills:

  • Ability to measure, plan, and monitor all aspects of web design and development
  • Ability to forecast and price all labor and costs for prospective projects
  • Ability to perform technical audits and understand the budgetary/time constraints of each project
  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate effectively GCommerce processes to clients
  • Must be able to problem solve and be as resourceful as possible during high volume times
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at once and provide accurate budgetary and resource KPI’s across all projects on a regular basis
  • Must possess sufficient technical knowledge in order to scope projects. Demonstrate website functionality & design decisions and communicate complex ideas to clients
  • Must be able to modify project plans, budgets, resources, etc. in an agile fashion with minimized negative impact

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in Scrum and Agile environments
  • Excellent deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use various project management tools and solutions effectively
  • One year of Project Management experience within an agency environment
  • Understanding of design and software development lifecycle
  • Bachelors in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or similar preferred
  • Experience in HTML and WordPress

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Web Operations Manager and SVP-Operations
  • Work directly with developers and other team members with GCommerce
  • Ensure projects are accurately scoped and client expectations are kept in line with project scope and budget
  • Regularly communicate all project requirements and timelines to both clients and team members
  • Ensure projects are implemented according to requirements and launched on a timely basis
  • Manage each project vision and communicate all parties involved
  • Work with QA specialists to perform quality assurance audits on all active projects
